For a Calmer Response to the Obama Polar Bear News...

Published May 08, 2009 @ 01:13PM PT

...than what I wrote this morning, see Edward Humes's post on the issue at the Stop Global Warming blog. He went the level-headed route (where's the fun in that?), waited for the official announcement, and wrote out a thoughtful summary. He also quotes the Center for Biological Diversity statement, which wasn't up yet either when I wrote my post or when I updated it to link to the Defenders of Wildlife and National Wildlife Federation statements. And who, Edward reports, does agree with the Salazar/Obama decision? Sarah Palin. Nice. That pretty much says it all, doesn't it?

Edit: My apologies for first writing that the post over at the global warming blog was written by Emily. I assumed and didn't pay attention to the byline.

One should always ask herself, "WWPD?" (What would Palin do?) And then do the opposite.

Who hasn't Obama sold out?  It started during the primaries and continues throughout his Presidency.  Check out Glenn Greenwald's (http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/) latest post on the political U turns Obama has made in other areas.  I never felt our Prez was an animal person when his treasured daughters had to blackmail him to get a dog.  Why didn't the family have a dog long before he announced his candidacy?  With no personal connection with a dog or cat, how can someone ever connect with those other than human animals we don't call "pets"?

I did vote for him since Palin was the only other choice with any chance of winning and her policies on so many things are nightmarish.

I thank Palin is a killer and not worth the ink it takes to write about her, but lately, I have found that it must be some sort of malay, with the western states, they also have Ottor, Jeff Siddowag. What hacks are they? They are just out and out killers out for the dollar. Who votes for these people, nevermind I remember now I one time voted for Bush, I hope God forgives me I have had a hard time forgving my self. It doesn't matter who likes animals or not, we owe this to all children and grandchildren, we must put them back on the endangered list.  NOW PLEASE
