Help Convince Congress to Reform Chemical Testing!
It’s been 50 years since the “3 Rs”—refinement, reduction, and replacement of animals in science—were proposed. But scientists continue to conduct cruel and irrelevant experiments, killing millions of animals. At the Seventh World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences, held later this month in Rome, PCRM scientists will propose humane, human-relevant alternatives. Influence Nonanimal Legislation >
Later this year, Congress will consider a sweeping revision to the Toxic Substances Control Act, the law that regulates industrial chemicals. This will be the first major revision in the law's 33-year history. PCRM scientists are working to make sure the revision benefits both people and animals, and PCRM members can aid the reform effort.

I believe that animals, dogs, cats and the like should not be used to experimentation. I think that it would be better to use inmates and prisons from Getmo. We are paying for all their food, shelter and healthcare as it is so we should get something from this fact. I am for the reversal of using animals for testing and I am sure that the companies can find some other solution to test their products to make them safe. As it is now, some items come on the market and "then" the find out their are not safe. So what gives with that.

animals and humans should have equal rights. i mean we live on the same earth, why should animals be harmed for selfish human designs.
Mia Le Roux @ 03:20AM PT Nov 16
We were assigned by God the task to look after Creation and all our fellow creatures - not to torture, abuse and murder them in horrible ways!
They feel fear and pain just as we do.

Do you want someone shoving shampoo in your eyes? Worse chemicals or beauty products? No. And it's not necessary.

I believe it's important for someone to make sure their is a voice for the millions of animals that are being abused and murdered. They are not able to have a voice for their selves.
